Closing ceremony Q&A

All students who are registered in their final semester are welcome to participate in the closing ceremony.

All graduating students can bring two relatives. When you, as a student, register for the ceremony, you will specify how many tickets (0–2) you would like in the registration form. Any remaining tickets will be made available after the regular registration period has ended. It will be first-come, first-served.

Yes. The link will be published on the Student Web before the closing ceremony.

You are welcome to pick up your tickets and scarf at Arkaden on HLK, on May 28 from 10 AM to 12 PM, or on June 2 from 9 AM to 12 PM.

If you are unable to pick up your tickets or scarf yourself, you can send someone else during these times. In that case, email sofia.bark@ju.se and let her know who will pick them up on your behalf.

No, you don't need a ticket. However, your relatives will need a ticket to enter.

No.

No,

Based on previous evaluations, HLK has decided to hold the ceremony indoors. Reasons for not being outdoors include difficulty for relatives to see and hear what’s happening on stage, lack of seating, and no protection from weather conditions.

There is no official dress code for the ceremony, but many people will be dressed formally.

The diploma handed out during the ceremony is purely symbolic; it is not the same as your official degree certificate. Even if you haven’t passed all your courses, you will still receive a diploma at the ceremony. However, once all your courses are approved, you need to apply for your official degree certificate.

No, your name will only appear on your official degree certificate.
