Alumni of the Year 2025

The process

  1. Based on the proposals received, the management groups of each company nominate two people with an even gender distribution for the Alumni of the Year.
  2. The management group at Jönköping University forms the jury and recommends candidates to the President, who then appoints the alumni who will receive the Alumni of the Year award.
  3. During October, the alumni of the year are invited, physically or digitally, to a joint ceremony followed by a panel discussion organised by the Career Centre.
  4. The alumni may then be invited to their respective colleges/companies to, for example, give a lecture or participate in a labour market day.

Criteria taken into account

  • The alumni must have completed and graduated from one of JU's companies.
  • The alumni has achieved something extraordinary in their career, in a special commitment or something worthy of attention and which is linked to JU's vision and guiding principles. For example, it can be about entrepreneurship and innovation, collaboration, community involvement or an important cultural deed.
  • The alumnus has an interest in being an ambassador for JU and a role model for current and future students.
  • It is meritorious if the alumnus has been involved in JU's activities or the Student Union.
