Data-driven AI for Decision Makers, 5 credits
About the course
The starting point of the course is on how business problems and decision-making in organizations relate to different tasks in data-driven AI. From this, the course explores how data-driven AI projects are conducted and evaluated. Participants will see examples from a variety of domains and problem types, to gain an understanding of how general approaches can be applied in different situations, and also do some practical work in a data analysis tool. The course also contains an overview of modern AI techniques and how these are used for different data analysis tasks.
Format: The course is mainly taught via recorded lectures and other digital learning resources, but there are also online workshops and seminars.
Schedule: Live sessions will be on Mondays, between 2pm and 4 pm. There is one mandatory examination seminar, on Monday 7th of April, with alternative dates offered if needed
Study pace: 25%, to enable participants to combine the course work with full-time employment. On average, you should expect to spend 8-10 hours per week on the course, with the majority of the time being spent on watching recorded material and working on your course projects.

End date: April 13th, 2025
Credits: 5
Language: The course will be taught in English.
Prerequisites: Passed courses of at least 40 credits in a main field of study within Engineering and Technology, Natural Science or Social Sciences, and at least 1 year of work experience (or equivalent). English proficiency is required (level 6 or equivalent). Applicants that have at least 4 years of work experience in the industry are exempt from the requirement of at least 40 credits within Engineering and Technology, Natural Science or Social Sciences field.
Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis.
