Within the research theme, we focus on social science perspectives on diversity issues and the creation of peaceful and inclusive societies, as well as how social and ecological sustainability and societal changes are linked, e.g. via social movements and learning processes.

Sustainability issues must be understood in the many different contexts in which they occur, and also different geographical contexts create different challenges when it comes to sustainability. Many of us are involved in the Master's program Global Studies - Sustainable Societies and Social Change, which focuses on societal changes to create sustainable development.
