  • Start for Swedish Institute's international scholarship holders


    Isatou Sowe, Sergio Navarro och Hong Mai Nguyen Sixteen international scholarship holders who have been awarded the Swedish Institute's (SI) Scholarship for Global Professionals have now started their Master's programmes at Jönköping University (JU). The students all have in common that they want to contribute to sustainable development in their home countries and that they are very excited about starting their studies.

    Utbildningen i aulan In December 2022, approximately 160 language educators, first preschool teachers, principals, special educators and other key staff at Jönköping Municipality started the education “Language and Knowledge Development Approaches in Preschool” at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU). On Wednesday 11 September, a final education day and conclusion of the education were held.

    Salem Seifeddine For the fourth year in a row, Jönköping University (JU) will give out the Alumni of the Year award during a ceremony held on Thursday 3 October. Executive Vice President Salem Seifeddine, together with a representative from each school, will hand out awards to the five Alumni of the Year 2024. The winners are revealed today.
  • Suicide Prevention Week kicks off at the School of Health and Welfare

The day contained lectures from researchers at JU and various guest speakers from Student Health Services, Jönköping Municipality and the Emergency Services, on topics of how they work with and are affected by suicide prevention in different ways. In Jönköping County, the whole week is dedicated to suicide prevention through various activities.
  • JIBS rises higher on the Financial Times Masters in Management ranking


    For the fourth consecutive year, Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) takes an upward climb on the prestigious Financial Times (FT) ranking of Masters in Management programmes. This year, JIBS has advanced three more places, securing the 61st spot globally. The school received high marks for its performance in salary outcomes, career progression, and value for money.
  • Students build and exhibit at Kristine Church


    Students by the Kristine church in Jönköping. 16 Construction Engineering students from the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) are participating in the Architecture Days event in Jönköping 5-8 September. They will build and exhibit rooms for public viewing in Kristine Church Park in Jönköping."This is a chance to develop ourselves professionally and learn a lot of new things," says the student Hermela Tareke.
  • The pulse increases on Campus Gränna


    Jönköping University Enterprise (JUE), which has its operations on Campus Gränna, has had a few tough years after Covid. With this semester, the pulse has returned and there are now over 100 students at Campus Gränna.
  • JU researcher Sweden's representative in new research network


    Ingela Bergmo Prvulovic The European Commission is funding a new international network program for research in the field of career guidance. Ingela Bergmo-Prvulovic, Associate Professor at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU), is Sweden's representative in the network and is also part of its steering committee.
  • Welcome Martin Wallin, new Dean and Managing Director at JIBS


    Martin Wallin assumed the role of Managing Director and Dean at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) at Jönköping University in August.
