JU attended international conference in Toulouse
On 17-20 September, Jönköping University (JU) participated in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference in Toulouse, France. This year's theme, En Route, means on the way and characterized seminars and workshops. Next year, JU is one of the hosts when EAIE takes place in Gothenburg 9-12 September with the theme GO-Create.
EAIE is one of the world's largest conferences in higher education and annually attracts over 7,000 participants from all over the world, including presidents of HEIs, politicians, heads of international departments, and others active in international education to network and participate in workshops and lectures. Exhibitors represent over 350 international organizations from more than 30 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, South Africa, USA, China and New Zealand.
“Great meeting place for networking”
JU participated as an exhibitor together with five other higher education institutions in western Sweden: University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology, University of Borås, Halmstad University and University of Skövde. Together they are hosting EAIE 2025 in Gothenburg which they also promoted in Toulouse. JU highlighted the Partner Day at JU on 9 September 2025, when JU will showcase its campus.
“EAIE is an invaluable meeting place for those of us who work with internationalization in higher education. It is here that we make new contacts and strengthen existing collaborations with our partner universities, while promoting JU, Jönköping and Sweden. We also negotiate exchange programmes and review agreements. Through our collaborations, we can therefore offer our outgoing and incoming students a fantastic exchange opportunity,” says Nikolina Bergh, Team Leader at the International Office at JU, who was present in Toulouse.
The conference in Toulouse was a great success and resulted in many fruitful meetings and positive reactions.
“It is fantastic to represent JU here and I feel proud of the great interest in our collaborations and offers,” adds Nikolina Bergh.
Gothenburg hosts EAIE 2025
The conference in Gothenburg on 9-12 September 2025 has the theme GO-Create, focusing on collaboration, innovation and co-creation.
