Mobility of individuals walking with a lower limb prosthesis
There are numerous factors that affect an individual’s ability to ambulate with a lower limb prosthesis. This project investigates factors that affect mobility from a holistic perspective incorporating physical, psychosocial, cognitive and technical aspects. The focus of the project is on individuals who have been amputated above the knee and require a prosthesis to walk. The aim of the project is to identify factors which affect gait and mobility in their daily lives.
