There were three licentiate seminars the same week at the School of Engineering (JTH) at the end of May. All doctoral students successfully defended their licentiate theses.
Alexander Vestins thesis is briefly about what smart wooden house manufacturing means and how it could be achieved.
Shamnath Thajudeen and Alexander Vestin recently held their licentiate seminar one after the other on the same day at JTH. They both defended them successfully. The title of Shamnath’s licentiate thesis is: “Supporting the Design Phase of Industrialised House Building Using a Product Platform Approach. A case study of a Timber-based Post and Beam Building System”. His research aims to outline the ways to support and improve the design phase of industrialised house building by using a product platform approach.
Alexander Vestin´s thesis, "Smart Manufacturing for the Wooden Single-Family House Industry" discusses what smart wooden house manufacturing means and how it could be achieved.
Movin Sequeira also successfully defended his licentiate seminar recently at JTH with his thesis "Developing Decision-Support for Tools for Evaluation of Manufacturing Reshoring Decisions." The research focuses on developing tools which support decision-making processes to move manufacturing back to the home country, also known as reshoring.
