International Virtual conference on Ukraine
Jonkoping International Business School (JIBS), in collaboration with its partners, is pleased to announce the inaugural virtual international conference on Ukraine and its future developments.
Use of evidence-based research in Ukraine’s development
August 22-23, 2024
The online conference brings together researchers, academics, development agencies, and industry practitioners to discuss and present ideas related to Ukraine's reform process (evidence-based policy making), addressing implications of research findings for the challenges faced by the Ukrainian people during the ongoing conflict and for post-war economic recovery. As such, we are calling for original evidence-based theoretical, methodological, empirical, and policy-oriented research papers for presentation at the conference. The conference will take place virtually, allowing for full participation via Zoom.
The conference organisers welcome evidence- based papers on the following topics (though not limited to these):
- Future drivers of growth in Ukraine
- EU accession process, regional cooperation and integration, security, and safety
- Reconstruction, rehabilitation, and repatriation
- Welfare programs and policies, poverty, inequality, vulnerability, and well-being
- Productivity, efficiency, inclusive growth, and their social dimensions
- International trade, opportunities, challenges, and barriers for Ukraine
- Entrepreneurship, private sector development, and small business management
- Competitiveness and growth of firms, industry, and innovation
- Corporate governance, leadership, and organizational behavior
- Strategic, supply chain, and service management
- Migration, labor market dynamics, human resources, and human and social capital
- Financial management, micro-finance, and financial development
- Industrial development, manufacturing, policy, and management
- Information technology and knowledge-based economic development
- Accountable and efficient institutions, good governance, and development
- Women in management and leadership
Important dates:
Deadline for submission of full paper or extended abstract: June 30, 2024
Deadline for participation registration: 15th July 2024.
Publication of conference program and zoom links: 31st July 2024
Virtual Conference 22-23 August 2024
Submission of selected Revised Full Papers for publication: 30th September 2024
