Jönköping University participates in Climate Week
This year's Climate Week (Klimatveckan) will be held between 14-20 October throughout Jönköping County. The theme of this year's week is “Climate smart and robust - a sustainable future together.” Jönköping University (JU) is contributing by organizing two events, one on cars, electrification and sustainable manufacturing, and the other on success factors for climate collaboration to work.
The Climate Week in Jönköping County is organized by the Climate Council to contribute to the county's common vision of Climate Smart Plus Energy County 2045. Eva Gipperth, University Director at JU, is JU's member of the Climate Council.
“Jönköping University wants to be a good force in the region and contribute to robust and sustainable climate work. For us, the collaboration and exchange of ideas in the Climate Council is an important source of inspiration and we take the opportunity to be involved in making the county's sustainability work visible during Climate Week,” says Eva Gipperth.

Lecture: Cars, electrification and sustainable manufacturing - what an exciting future
Time: Monday 14 October, 10.00 - 11.00.
Location: Jönköping University, Stora Enso hall (E1029), and in Teams.
A lecture by Anders Jarfors, Professor of Materials and Manufacturing - Casting, addressing the fact that transport is critical to society and at the same time is environmentally damaging. Electrification is changing this dramatically, but what is happening with the manufacturing of vehicles and how can we reduce the climate footprint?
The lecture is both physical and digital via Teams.

Lecture: Achieving climate collaboration - seven communicative success factors
Time: Friday 18 October, 10.15 - 11.30.
Place: Jönköping University, Västbosalen, Hb220 at HLK
Lecture with PhD candidate Otto Hedenmo, HLK, followed by a discussion based on a recently completed research project on the communicative challenges of climate collaboration and how these can be addressed.
The activity is open to all, and no registration is required.
