JIBS rises higher on the Financial Times Masters in Management ranking

For the fourth consecutive year, Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) takes an upward climb on the prestigious Financial Times (FT) ranking of Masters in Management programmes. This year, JIBS has advanced three more places, securing the 61st spot globally. The school received high marks for its performance in salary outcomes, career progression, and value for money.

The annual ranking, released by Financial Times on 9 September, is based on indicators measuring different criteria, from salary increase and value for money to career progress, internationalisation, and diversity. The ranking heavily considers feedback from graduates who completed their master’s degrees three years ago, making it a highly considered assessment globally.

“We’re incredibly proud that our Master in Management programmes consistently rank so highly. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to developing the next generation of skilled, engaged, and purpose-driven leaders who will shape the future of global business,” says Martin Wallin, Dean and Managing Director at JIBS.

This year, JIBS scores highly in several important sub-categories. Notably, the school ranks second in Scandinavia for salary outcomes and climbs to 17th place globally for value for money, an improvement of four spots from last year. On the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Net Zero teaching criteria, including ethical, social, and environmental issues, JIBS ranks as high as number 12. A true recognition of the school's unwavering commitment to producing research with impact for the benefit of all its stakeholders and to empower responsible changemakers for a better society.

Adynamic multicultural community

“Our Master in Management programmes are designed to help students develop as leaders and enhance relevant skills that employers are looking for. The curriculum is research-based and internationally focused, and the learning environment is highly diverse. JIBS's position in this ranking reflects how these education features combine to empower students to succeed in their future careers,” says Anna Blombäck, Associate Dean of Education at JIBS.

JIBS is a dynamic multicultural community that inspires, challenges, and connects some of the world’s most forward-thinking business talent. Over half of the staff and around 80 percent of the master's students come from international backgrounds, creating a diverse environment. The education is equally focused on keeping strong ties to current research and the business world.

“We are committed to providing the best education and academic environment in our areas of expertise. This achievement is a testament to the incredible teamwork of our students, alumni, partners, and staff, all of whom go above and beyond to ensure our students receive the very best,” says Martin Wallin.

JIBS is joined on the list by two other Swedish business schools: Stockholm School of Economics and Lund University School of Economics and Management.
