JURA – named Association of the Year at Student Sports Forum 2019

This weekend Student Sports Forum took place and associations in the Swedish Academy of Sports discussed the future of student sports in the 2020s among other things. During the gala dinner JURA (Jönköping University Rowing Association) was named Association of the Year! Congratulations to JURA!

The forum also offered physical activity (of course), inspirational lectures and a gala dinner. During the gala dinner, this year's Awards were given out to: Association of the Year, Enthusiast of the Year, Film of the Year and Picture of the Year. The winners are presented below.

Association of the Year - JURA, Jönköping University Rowing Association

JURA - Jönköping University Rowing Association won with the motivation:

"This year's association is a living proof that it is possible to bring people from all over the world together around a sport. This year's association has succeeded in creating a stimulating environment for both beginners and students who train and compete at elite level. In recent years, the association has widened its views and made a remarkable trip out in Europe, and in September 2019, they hosted over 500 student rowers from over 80 European universities on their own lake. With commitment and participation, the little association has proved that big things are possible! "

The other winners were:

• Enthusiast of the Year: Fredrik Mattsson, Halmstad Student's Sports Association.
• Student Sports Film of the Year: VUGI.
• Student Sports Photo of the Year: Anton Widlund, IKSU.
