Manuela är biträdande lektor i kvalitetsförbättring och ledarskap vid Jönköping Academy for Improvement of Health and Welfare (JA). Hon ingår i projektet Kulturell mångfald i multiprofessinonella teams i sjukvård och patientsäkerhet och projektet System för ledarskapsutveckling-LDS.
Manuela är både företagsekonom och hälsovetare. Hon disputerade 2020 vid Lunds Universitet inom ämnet hälsovetenskap med inriktning omvårdnad. Hennes avhandling handlar om personer som upprepade gånger uppsöker psykiatrisk akutmottagning. Hennes tidigare forskning fokuserade huvudsakligen på hälsa och psykisk ohälsa bland olika yrkesgrupper. Manuela är också intresserad i teamarbete och ledarskapsutveckling i olika kontexter.
