Nailing ceremony for Mikaela Backman

The official ceremony during which doctoral student Mikaela Backman literally nails her doctoral thesis to the wall takes place on Thursday 14 February at 1.15 p.m. on the 2nd floor in the entrance hall at JIBS. Welcome to attend the ceremony!

This is an old ceremony that means that the thesis is official and no changes may be made. The thesis will be the 86th doctoral thesis at JIBS since the doctoral programme started in 1995.

Mikaela Backman, who is a doctoral student in Economics, will defend her doctoral thesis on Friday 8 March.  The thesis is entitled ”Regions, Human Capital and New Firm Formation”.
