Rowing Medals for Jönköping University

This weekend, the Swedish Universities’ Rowing Championship took place in Jönköping. The rowing teams of Jönköping University did well and were rewarded with three medals.

In cooperation with the Baltic Cup Rowing Championship, the first Swedish Universities’ Rowing Championship was held in Jönköping 26-27 September. Five universities competed in the distances 500 and 1000 meters, which were categorized in the classes Women, Men and Mix.

Jönköping University competed in three out of six races and won a gold medal in 1000 meter for men, a bronze medal in 1000 meter for women and a bronze medal in 500 meter for women.

The universities that were participating in the championship were, expect Jönköping University, Uppsala University, Lund University, Karolinska Institutet and The Royal Institute of Technology. All the teams did a good job in the championship and really showed that Swedish universities know how to row.
