Many students in Jönköping study abroad
28 per cent of the students at Jönköping University studied abroad last year. At JIBS, the same figure is 85 per cent. The national average is 18 per cent.
The Swedish Higher Education Authority has released data on how many Swedish graduate students studied abroad in 2012. Jönköping University is on top of the list with 28 per cent, compared with the national average of 18 per cent.
At Jönköping International Business School almost all students, 85 per cent, spend at least one semester abroad.
Jönköping University has about 350 partner universities around the world, giving the students good opportunities to study, do an internship or write their thesis abroad.
“Jönköping University has a strong international profile and is one of the top universities in the country in terms of international student exchange. International meetings also take place on campus, since we have students coming from about 80 different countries,” says Anita Hansbo, President of Jönköping University.
