Meet Assistant Professor Philipp Sieger from University of St. Gallen

Who are you and where are you from?
 
I am Philipp Sieger from Germany. I work as
Assistant Professor at the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland.


How come you wanted to visit CeFEO?

I wanted to spend some time abroad to focus on research and to make new experiences. I first visited CeFEO and JIBS back in 2007 when I 
attended a PhD course on family business. Since then, I have been in close contact with different CeFEO colleagues mainly in the context of the STEP project. Hence, it was quite a "logical choice" to ask if visiting CeFEO for two months would be possible. I am of course very happy and grateful that it worked out.   

What are your main research interests?

My research focuses on family business- and entrepreneurship-related themes such as entrepreneurial behavior of family firms or entrepreneurial intentions of next generation members in business families.

What is the best thing with our centre CeFEO?

Among other things, I really enjoy the friendly and constructive atmosphere among colleagues and staff members.
