Salvatore Sciascia, PhD, is a Full Professor at Cattaneo University – LIUC (near Milan), where he is the Rector's delegate for Research and co-director of FABULA, the Family Business Lab. He is a CeFEO Affiliated Professor at Jönköping International Business School and also teaches at IULM University-Milan and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
He is a member of the Editorial Review Board of Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Family Business Review, Journal of Management & Governance, Journal of Family Business Strategy, Journal of Small Business Management and Piccola Impresa/Small Business.
Salvatore studies several crucial issues in family business, including governance, internationalization, entrepreneurship, innovation, strategy, performance and reporting. He has been cooperating with a global network of scholars and presented his papers at the major international conferences in family business (e.g. IFERA, FERC, ToFE), entrepreneurship (BCERC, RENT, IntEnt, ACERE) and management (e.g. AoM, SMS).
His research was published on journals as Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Family Business Review, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Business Research, Small Business Economics, Journal of Family Business Strategy, Journal of Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development and European Management Review.
He has received numerous international awards for his research and service from different prestigious institutions (e.g. IFERA, FBR, JFBS, FFI, EIASM). He advises Italian business families and his research is often featured in the Italian newspapers and magazines.
