On Friday afternoon, Mr David Cvach, French ambassador in Stockholm, visited Jönköping University where he was welcomed by the university’s Vice President, Marie Ernsth Bravell. He also met Guénola Nonet from Jönköing International Business School who is Project Manager of PRME – a global initiative launched by the UN in 2007 to assist and inspire business schools to promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility. The ambassador then went on to meet Tobias Dahlberg from Science Park.

Mr. Cvach has just recently been appointed to Stockholm and has a vivid interest in Swedish trade, education and politics.

“I’ve been extremely impressed by what I’ve seen,” said David Cvach of his visit. “Jönköping is all about innovation, this city has really turned itself around in the last 20 years and, as I understand, this is thanks to Jönköping University. If I had to sum up my agenda between France and Sweden, it’s really all about innovation, and so, for me, Jönköping University is the place to be.”

The ambassador finished off the visit with Swedish fika where he met and spoke to French-speaking students at the university (see slideshow below). The students were also invited to a gala dinner on Friday evening, organised by the Alliance Française and held in honour of the ambassador’s visit.
