Collaboration theme of strategic partner meeting
On 26 September, the School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) met its strategic partners in Mariedal at JU. The theme for the meeting was "After SPARK, a strategic collaboration for the future" and Scania held a presentation and a dialogue on the same theme.
"A fantastic day with a great focus on collaboration, education and research. We work together to attract the right skills to this region and to develop relevant knowledge in collaboration with research," says Kerstin Johansen, Associate Dean of Research at JTH.
During the day, ongoing initiatives within JTH's research and education environment SPARK were discussed. A workshop was also held with focus on research and education in collaboration.
"We have learned a lot from this day. First of all, Scania gave a good presentation about how they work with scenarios in their strategic planning. We were told what has happened in SPARK's three areas of strength since we met last year and what we do to drive the collaboration forward. Then I expect a lot of tips from today's workshop about how we should think and focus in the future, says Kerstin Johansen.
Elin Stjernholm, Head of R&D and Innovation at Fagerhult, was also satisfied with the day.
"It is good to meet other companies froom the region and see that we face the same challenges and possibilities. JTH is responsive and keen to take the collaboration forward, she says.
JTH's strategic partners consist of: Combitech Sweden, Fagerhult, Husqvarna, Saab, Scania and Thule as well as the nodes Campus Värnamo, Swedish Aluminum and Träcentrum.
